Pen Needling

Pen Needling is an advanced treatment that is an effective way to achieve smooth and radiant skin. Whether you have concerns about wrinkles, scars, or uneven skin tone, Pen Needling can help you achieve your skincare goals without resorting to invasive treatments.

  • Pen Needling, also known as microneedling, is a minimally invasive treatment that uses a hand-held device with tiny needles to create micro-injuries on the skin's surface. This process stimulates the skin's natural healing process, which helps to enhance collagen and elastin production, leading to smoother and firmer skin.

  • Pen Needling is useful for treating a wide range of skin concerns such as:

    • Acne Scars

    • Fine lines and wrinkles

    • Uneven skin tone

    • Enlarged pores

    • Stretch marks

    • Sun damage

  • Pen Needling is a relatively painless treatment, and we use a numbing cream to minimise any discomfort.

  • It typically takes around 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area. During your microneedling session, the doctor will clean up the treatment area and apply some numbing cream to it. The medication takes 30-60 minutes to work. Once the site feels numb, the dermatologist will start using the microneedling instrument on your skin. The treatment itself usually takes about 15 minutes.

  • The number of sessions required depends on your skin concern. Typically, we recommend a series of three to six sessions for optimal results.

  • There is minimal downtime after the treatment. You may experience some redness and mild swelling, but these usually subside within a day or two.

  • Yes, Pen needling is suitable for all skin types. However, in some certain situations, we will recommend some individuals who are not suitable for the treatment. These include people with eczema or existing open wounds such as acne on the area they want to treat.
